Xavier Wong

Xavier Wong was born and raised in Sudbury, Canada, home to the largest carbonyl refinery in the world. After graduating McGill University with a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering, he returned to Sudbury to work in the carbonyl industry. After 4 years with Vale, ending as a part of the Copper Cliff Nickel Refineries Process Technology engineering team. During his time at the refinery, he led initiatives optimizing NRC metallurgy resulting in record setting delay minimization, rewrote reduction profile design and interpretation covering the longest duration without an LOC in plant history, and commissioned the first predictive coke control safety system in the plant.
