Westwin Elements Signs Memorandum of Understanding with University of Oklahoma to Advance Research and Development in Critical Minerals Refining

Oklahoma City, OK– Westwin Elements Inc, America's first major nickel, cobalt, and manganese refinery, is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma (OU). This agreement, effective as of 02/29/2024, marks a significant milestone in our commitment to collaborative research and development efforts.

 

The MOU solidifies the mutual desire of Westwin Elements and the University of Oklahoma to pursue joint initiatives aimed at achieving critical mineral independence, supporting humanitarian efforts, and enhancing environmental stewardship. Furthermore, both parties are dedicated to fostering engineering talent, creating job opportunities, and promoting awareness of carbonyl engineering practices.

Under the terms of the MOU, Westwin Elements and the University of Oklahoma will establish a framework for collaborative research and development activities. These include, but are not limited to, product evaluation, carbonyl process studies, feed preparation, process control and optimization, and metal decontamination. By leveraging the expertise and resources of both parties, this partnership aims to drive innovation and efficiency in critical minerals refining processes.
